I founded my own Microelectronics company, and I have co-authored patents on a machine for detecting disease in sugar beet and another one for sorting potatoes. I trained as a concert pianist at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow. Recently I composed and performed a piano score for the silent film Von morgens bis mitternachts (1921).
